Job Description:

We are currently looking for a Charge Operating Room Registered Nurse (Charge OR RN) to join our team. This is a Full-Time position. Hours for this position are typically M-F 10:30a – 7p.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the day-to-day of the OR to provide smooth flow of daily cases.
  • Assists in coordination of daily case scheduling with supporting departments (X-Ray/Preop-PACU)
  • Communicate effectively with physicians to resolve issues and provide efficiency and smooth case flow.
  • Prepare schedules in the afternoon for next day-week.

Required Skills:

  • Graduate of accredited school or professional nursing.
  • Two (2) years experience in surgery.
  • Current Texas RN License
  • BLS required, ACLS and PALS required within 90 days of hire.
  • CNOR preferred
  • Independent decision making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple ORs
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, families and vendors.
